History
Go Golspie Development Trust (SC046438) covers KW10 supporting the development of Golspie and benefitting the whole community regardless of age/background. Set up in 2015 with the vision to support Golspie achieve its collective needs and ambitions, Go Golspie aims to make Golspie more attractive to live/work/visit through:
- Helping develop community assets
- Organising social/community activities
- Creating/improving job opportunities
- Encouraging inward investment
- Supporting economic sustainability
What we do
We are community-led and deliver activities/services including:
- Community Food: the Food Larder at Fountain Road Hall, Food Outlet at the YMCA Building and 24hr Food Pantry behind the Service Point.
- Community Transport services: minibus, electric car and accredited MIDAS minibus training.
- Events and activities: Community Markets, Lunch Club, Minibus Mystery Tours.
- Flood Defence: Taking forward capital infrastructure options and supporting local Flood Defence projects.
- Intergenerational community buildings: maintaining and running Fountain Road Hall and the YMCA building.
- Playparks :Refurbishment and upgrades to Golspie playparks.
