Peter Allan

Transport and Administration

Peter is originally from Orkney and left there in February 1989 when he became a Police Officer with Northern Constabulary and then Police Scotland where he retired after 30 years’ service. On retiring he completed Midas minibus training and began driving the Go Golspie minibus on a voluntary basis and then became an instructor for Midas training on behalf of Go Golspie. Peter looks after the transport including the minibus and electric car booking system.

James Pryde

Transport and Administration Assistant

James was brought up in Golspie and left as a young man to join the Police Force. He worked in all parts of the Highlands and Islands and specialised in Road Policing Duties. This enabled him to work with local area organisations on local initiatives, as well as National and International Governments on Road Policing/Security related matters. Since retiring he has volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Golspie and worked at St Duthus school in Tain. Since starting at Go Golspie Development Trust, and working mainly assisting Peter with Transport, James has enjoyed catching up with folk he had not seen for a number of years and is enjoying helping people in the community.

David Thibault

Development Officer/Caretaker, Fountain Road Hall

David moved to Golspie from Maine, in the United States, in April of 2023. Prior to the move, he was a general manager of a large hardware/nursery supply store. The move to Golspie has been a true joy, and the community spirit and friendships that have developed in Golspie inspired David to take an active part in the community that has welcomed him and his wife, Janine, so warmly. Along with his work for Go Golspie Development Trust, David is also a member of the Golspie Gala Committee. David is also an avid musician and is actively performing throughout the Highlands.
