With thanks to Keep Scotland Beautiful, our new electric car will make its first Raigmore hospital trip this week, Peter and Marion FRH Chair showcasing the trusts newest assets.

The Golspie 2030 Tourism Strategy was commissioned by Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE), with its objective being to enable; “Go Golspie Development Trust and the wider community of Golspie to strategically plan tourism development in the village.”

Go Golspie are now listed as an official charity on Amazon Smile, so if you shop on Amazon and make your purchases using Amazon Smile, you can select Go Golspie as your nominated charity.

As a result of lots of hard work, we have been awarded £147,890 rom The Scottish Land Fund and together with money pledged from the community, we have been successful in our bid to purchase the Fountain Road Hall. We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved and we can now look forward to what the future will bring.

We would like to welcome David Lyons as our second Go Golspie staff member. He is pictured with his Midas certificate after successfully completing his training. David will now assist in transporting children with additional support needs to Golspie High School on a daily basis.

Recently the Church of Scotland have put the Fountain Road Hall up for sale. The Community Buyout is a subgroup of Go Golspie, and are in the process of submitting an application for funding a community buyout for the hall. Funding applications continue and a high number of Pledges have been made to support the buy out. Please get in touch if you would like to pledge any money for this project.
