About Golspie

The village of Golspie is in the enviable position of being both a rural and coastal destination within relatively easy reach of Inverness and on the official North Coast 500 route. The village boasts a long sandy beach with some great scenic walks around the area including the beautiful Big Burn with its fantastic waterfall. We also have a National Nature reserve on our doorstep at Loch Fleet.

With a population of just over 1300 people, the village has its own golf course, tennis court and bowling club. On the outskirts of the village there is a local kart track which sees race meetings take place during the summer months.

There are also a good range of shops and places to eat, and the public toilets are situated in the centre of the Main Street off Fountain Road.

Golspie is the ideal holiday destination with a range of activities on the doorstep with lots of outdoor fun available with the added bonus of indoor recreation when the sun isn’t shining. There are a number of Guest Houses and B&Bs as well as hotel accommodation available. Come and experience this unique part of the Highlands, you’ll be glad that you did. The village is on the A9 bus route and has its own railway station if you are arriving by train.
