Community Minibus
Available for Multi-day Group Hire
As a result of community consultation, Go Golspie Development Trust recognised the need for affordable transport to be available to groups and individuals. To that end we fundraised and purchased a 16-seater minibus that is available for hire to community groups in the area.
In our first year we carried over 600 passengers on over 80 trips and then Covid struck and we had to adapt to suit the needs of the community and we have been using the bus to deliver hot meals to elderly and self-isolating people in the area and so far, we have delivered well over 2000 meals and the feedback has been great. Now as we come out of the Covid restrictions the bus is once again available for hire and we are already seeing bookings coming in. The bus is available on a per mileage basis which at its current price of £1.00 per mile is affordable and covers the running costs.
